WHO\u2019S WHAT WHERE: <\/strong>Winchester\u2019s public access television, WinCAM, recently honored six individuals. Joe Viglione <\/strong>\n of Medford was recognized as producer of the year. He started in access\n television in 1979, and is host of \u201cVisual Radio,\u2019\u2019 which is \napproaching its 600th episode, and \u201cThe Buzzy Linhart Show.\u2019\u2019 Other \nwinners included Melodie Wing<\/strong>, Beyond the Call of Duty Award; Dan Holahan<\/strong>, Most Dedicated Youth Producer; Robert Gotham<\/strong>, Most Advanced Youth Producer; Lydia Mullan<\/strong>, Most Ambitious Youth Producer; and Dan Sheridan<\/strong>, Best New Member. . . . Dr. Steve Paskal<\/strong>,\n an internist at the Medford practice of Harvard Vanguard Medical \nAssociates, has received the Clinical Innovation Award as part of a \nteam focused on hypertension. . . . Peter Spellman <\/strong> of \nTopsfield, director of the Career Development Center at Berklee College \nof Music in Boston, led a study that has resulted in a comprehensive \nresource of salary ranges for careers across the music industry. Every once in awhile, one of our own is recognized for their outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry. December 10th at the Winchester Community Access and Media (WinCAM) annual awards party was one of those times.
The TMR Zoo\u2019s very own Chief Film critic, Joe Viglione has been named \u201cProducer of the Year\u201d for 2010 by Winchester Community Access and Media. Please join me in congratulating Joe for his accomplishments.
Public access veteran host Joe Viglione established Visual Radio in 1995 at the local origination studio in Woburn\/Stoneham. Fifteen years and hundreds of interviews later Viglione is a member of stations in Stoneham, Winthrop, Cambridge and Winchester, with Visual Radio airing in dozens of communities in Massachusetts as well as on Manhattan Neighborhood Network in New York City. His first program was T.V. Eye which broadcast in 1979 from the old Warner studio on Day Street in Davis Square (across from the post office)
