We have about another 800 or 900 tracks to go through for

I like the lyrics quite a bit.  They are below.<\/strong>

This was the final music with bassist Todd Carnes and guitarist Fudge Keegan.
They both, regrettably, passed away, as have guitarist Eric Brown and
bassist Ted Rodden from the previous band.  
Jeff Hill and I are still here, Jeff playing April 8, 2023 at the CNOTE
with Larry Newman, Lady Carolyn, Kenne Highland, Dalia Davis…
Jeff and I also recording in April\/May 2022 out in Westboro.
We would go on to play in 1984 with Chris Sanzo on guitar and Jeff Ayres
on bass, Alive 1984 the re-discovered album I just posted on YouTube and
Spotify.   Jeff and I then worked with New Generation out of Newton and
opened two shows for Pat Travers.  There were 40 years in between or so
until now with me uploading this vast repertoire of sound.

We had worked with Jimmy Miller on the Intuition Element album
(I, of course, worked with Jimmy beyond the band for some years
with lots of recording at Normandy, etc.)  Jimmy did some great

tracks for Johnny Barnes, Gary Shane, the band Gear, Exact
(on the Massachusetts Metal LP,) singing background on Mace
(Rocking to the Top, tune by Gary Hoey,) Riddler, the Present
and more.  The Miller album “deluxe” version will be on Spotify,
many of the tracks already there.

On the Amtrak train one year to speak at the Intercollegiate
Broadcasting System’s college radio event (must have spoke
at these for at least 24 years) I filmed the ride and set to the
soundtrack RIDING AROUND NOWHERE.   The film was to
debut at the Regent Theater but the owner forgot to open the
doors.  Me and Steven Paul Perry and others were there
at the time I remember.  We got a raincheck but I never took
the theater up on the offer. Maybe we’ll screen the Salt Water
Summers 2024 there, who knows?

OK, I was on my author John Rechy kick, he who wrote
City of Night.   Jim Morrison leaned heavily on Rechy’s
material for L.A. Woman, the song.  Too funny as the book
is about homosexual cruising and L.A. being the woman kinda
sorta.


Now I am hardly a cruiser…ha ha….living vicariously through
Rechy’s writings or the Al Pacino film Cruising  (to me it is a

rather sad and creepy world) but I did dip into the world (as an
observer only, thank you very much) with people who shall

remain nameless as they were into it.   A dangerous game,
indeed, for many reasons.   But the line “we indulge in all
those strangers” is definitely about that.

You can hear me making up “placeholder” lyrics, which I

do all the time.  Y’know, Paul McCartney’s “Scrambled Eggs”
turning into “Yesterday”

It is unique to hear the words I pull out of thin air while writing
this song, and then the finished version that I am very happy with.

So why put up the unfinished demo?
Because Todd, Jeff and Fudge were such a great band.
Jimmy Miller called Francis Keegan (Fudge) in the upper
third of guitarists he worked with.  “The lower part of the
upper third,” Jimmy said with a smile, “You understand!)

That’s Clapton, Dave Mason, Denny Laine, Keith Richards,
Parliament Funkadelic, unique league indeed.

That’s what makes the music, and this story, so important.
